It started with the ocean
The ocean inspires me, and it shapes everything I make. I'm Nic, and this is where Miki began.
My Miki designs exist to bring a piece of the ocean into everyday life. Every design I make is made to be worn in the water you love, so the coast comes with you wherever you go.
From pearl diver to jeweller
After travelling the world in my younger years, I returned home and settled into life as a pearl diver in Broome. Inspired by my passion for pearls and the ocean, I began creating my own jewellery designs, drawing on everything the sea had given me. What started as a small idea has since grown into one of the South West’s most loved ocean-safe jewellery brands.
From my desk to your collection
My designs often begin as ideas or sketches at my desk, shaped by textures, colours, and moments I’ve experienced living by the sea.
From there, each design is carefully shaped and refined until it feels just right, before bringing it to life as a finished piece. It all comes from here, which means when you wear one of my Miki designs, you're wearing something I've poured real thought and care into.
A small team with a big love for the ocean
MiKi might be small, but there’s a lot of heart behind it. Founded by Nicola and later joined by Ari, MiKi was created from a shared love of the ocean, jewellery, and creating pieces that feel effortless, wearable, and inspired by coastal living.
When we’re not designing ocean-inspired jewellery or packing your orders, you’ll usually find us at local markets, chatting over warm coffees, spending time with our dogs, squeezing in a gym session, or talking way too much about activewear. We’ve built MiKi around good energy, creativity, and a happy office vibe — and we hope that feeling shines through in every piece we create. 🩵
