Rinse in fresh water after a swim and pat dry. Gold plating naturally softens with wear, and perfume, sunscreen and chlorine speed that up, so put your jewellery on last and wipe it with a soft cloth after wear. Store in your MiKi pouch when you're not wearing it.

Your questions, answered

Is your gold jewellery real gold?

It is real 18k gold, plated over a solid base: sterling silver on pendants and charms, stainless steel on chains and our waterproof pieces. You get the warmth and colour of 18k gold at a price that lets you wear it every day, and we will always tell you exactly what is underneath.

Will the gold colour fade?

With years of wear, plating can soften, we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. The habits that protect it: sunscreen and perfume on before your jewellery, a freshwater rinse after swimming, and a soft cloth wipe now and then. Treated that way, it stays golden for a long time.

What is 925 sterling silver?

Sterling silver is 92.5 percent pure silver, alloyed with a little copper for strength, which is why it is stamped 925. Pure silver is too soft for jewellery you actually live in, sterling is the standard the good stuff is made from.
